The Purple & Gold Championships (P&G) is a multi-discipline event taking place in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Friday, March 5 to Sunday, March 7, 2010. Top quality venues are being provided for all participants to enjoy - Louisiana State University Pete Maravich Assembly Center and Student Recreation Complex and the Baton Rouge River Center Arena and Ballroom. The weekend will also feature the LSU vs. Oregon State women's collegiate competition on Saturday, March 6th.

A Glance at the Weekend's Schedule
Friday - The P&G Women's Artistic competition will kick off with Friday sessions. All upper level optional gymnasts will compete at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center where the collegiate meet is held - a GREAT recruiting opportunity to show your stuff!
Saturday - The first day of the P&G Cheer & Dance competition will get started at the Baton Rouge River Center Arena. The second day of the women's artistic competition will take place leading up to the women's collegiate meet. LSU will face rival Oregon State in a regular season showdown.
Following all competition on Saturday the organizers will host a reception for all coaches of all disciplines at a site to be determined. Food and drink will be provided and the opportunity to have a fun, relaxed evening.
Sunday - The final day of competition for all disciplines and hopefully an opportunity for teams to do some sightseeing before heading home.
LSU vs. OREGON STATE Women'S Collegiate Competition
All registered participants and event credentialed coaches will have the opportunity to attend the LSU vs. Oregon State women's collegiate meet on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center on the LSU campus. Family members and friends will be able to purchase tickets at the LSU box office or by calling 225-578-5050.
Purple & Gold Coaches Party
Saturday, March 6th - Time TBD - All Coaches for all disciplines are invited to join the organizers for a fun, relaxing evening in a party setting to celebrate the 2010 Purple & Gold Championships. Food and drink will be provided at a location to be determined. Coaches must be registered for the competition and have an event credential to participate. Final details will be confirmed prior to the event.
