General Information

The Purple & Gold Championships (P&G) is taking place in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on Friday, March 4 to Sunday, March 6, 2011. Top quality venues are being provided for all participants to enjoy - Louisiana State University Pete Maravich Assembly Center and the Baton Rouge River Center Exhibition Hall. The weekend will also feature the LSU vs. New Hampshire women's collegiate competition on Friday, March 4th.

A Glance at the Weekend's Schedule

Friday - The P&G Women's Artistic competition will kick off with Friday sessions leading up to the women's collegiate meet at 7:00pm. LSU will face rival New Hampshire in a regular season showdown.  All Level 9 and 10 optional gymnasts will compete at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center where the collegiate meet is held - a GREAT recruiting opportunity to show your stuff!

Saturday - The second day of the women's artistic competition will also take place at the Baton Rouge River Center Exhibition Hall. 

Following all competition on Saturday the organizers will host a reception for all coaches at Walk Ons Restaurant. Food and drink will be provided and the opportunity to have a fun, relaxed evening.

Sunday - The final day of competition and hopefully an opportunity for teams to do some sightseeing before heading home.

LSU vs. NEW HAMPSHIRE Women'S Collegiate Competition

It's $1.00 ticket night on the LSU campus at the Pete Maravich Center on Friday, March 4th for the LSU vs. New Hampshire women's collegiate meet.   Patricipants, family members and friends will be able to purchase tickets at the LSU box office or by calling 225-578-2184.

Purple & Gold Coaches Party

Saturday, March 5th - Time TBD - All Coaches for all disciplines are invited to join the organizers for a fun, relaxing evening in a party setting to celebrate the 2011 Purple & Gold Championships. Food and drink will be provided at Walk Ons Restaurant. Coaches must be registered for the competition and have an event credential to participate. Final details will be confirmed prior to the event.
